Kratom is derived from Mitragyna speciosa - plants that are indigenous to Thailand, grown mostly in the central and southern regions. These plants grow up to 15 feet high and several feet wide. Local people have used kratom since long before any records were made. It is a narcotic drug - a strong stimulant - and would typically be used to aid physical work and mental agility.

Medically, Kratom would also be used as a substitute for opium when opium was unavailable.

Kratom would be taken mainly by chewing fresh leaves or ground leaves.

Kratom 25X extract is produced by boiling the fresh leaves until they pulp. The liquor is then filtered and the remaining water is reduced until it forms a resinous extract.

In theory, 0.5 grams of Kratom 25X would be sufficient for a noticeable physical effect.
